Celebrate the Chelsea Flower Show with a special themed Afternoon Tea at Rocco Forte's Brown's Hotel

London, April 2012 - The English Tea Room at Brown’s Hotel is pleased to be paying homage to The Chelsea Flower Show, a long-standing British institution, with a fabulous floral themed afternoon tea to get our green fingered visitors in the mood!

The English Tea Room will be serving a specially created Traditional Afternoon Tea with a Chelsea Flower Show twist.  Indulge in warm scones with rose and strawberry jam, a selection of home-made pastries including violet macaroons, carrot and jasmine cakes, raspberry and white chocolate mousses, rosewater éclairs and Pimms jellies along with a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches.  This will be served with a choice of 17 different teas which include both Rosebud or Jasmine Tea.   The cost of this special afternoon tea is £39.50 per person and will be available from the 21st – 27th May 2012 from 3pm - 6pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm - 6pm Friday and 12noon – 6.30pm Saturday and Sunday.  

29 April – Chelsea Flower Show themed TeaTorial

On 29 April, Theo Ndeh, Pastry Chef at Brown’s Hotel will be hosting a Chelsea Flower Show TeaTorial.  This class will have a maximum of 8 people, offering participants the perfect environment in which to soak up the knowledge of one of London’s most talented pastry chefs.  This is a unique experience with a professional but informal afternoon of culinary learning, topped off with the award-winning Traditional Afternoon Tea in The English Tea Room, which was voted ‘Top London Afternoon Tea 2009’ by The Tea Guild and also received a Tea Guild Award of Excellence in 2010, 2011 and 2012

Guests can enjoy:
• A demonstration on how to make violet macaroons, rosewater éclairs and Brown’s award-winning scones and strawberry jam, along with chocolate petit fours
• Full Chelsea Flower Show Afternoon Tea in The English Tea Room with Theo, who will answer any additional questions guests may have.
• Recipes and sweet treats to take home.

Tea-Torials cost £115 per person and start at 2.30pm.
