Director of Food Mark Hix and Executive Chef Lee Streeton have created a series of outstanding summer menus, using only the finest of seasonal ingredients.

The Albemarle is offering a summer set lunch menu until the 7th September – two courses £25 and three courses £30 – the menu will change weekly and will include favourites such as pea & mint soup; fillet of pollack with surf clams & sea purslane and rice pudding with summer fruits.  A full a la carte menu is also available including treacle-cured salmon with pickled fennel and cucumber; Romney Marsh beetroot with Golden Cross goat’s cheese and wild herbs; Roasted scallops with sea vegetables; Chargrilled cuttlefish with green tomatoes; Grilled or pan-fried Dover sole and Summer pudding with Jersey cream. 

Lee Streeton will also be delighted to arrange a special Albemarle Picnic which, should guests wish, can be set-up and served to them in neighbouring Green Park.  This picnic will consist of: Chilled Golden tomato soup with country bread; Steamed wild salmon with marsh samphire; Heritage tomato salad with basil; Minted Cornish potatoes and summer pudding and costs £49.50 per person.

The English Tea Room summer menu includes Dorset crab with seasonal salad; Mixed endive salad with stilton & celery; Thinly sliced fennel with peas & broad beans and a Jersey Royal salad with green beans and quail eggs.

The award-winning mixologists in The Donovan Bar have created a range of special summer cocktails including Irresistible – vodka, blackberry puree, Merlet-lemon cognac, fresh lime juice and caramel syrup and Vodkadelic – vodka, Xante pear cognac, fresh basil, lemon juice, honey and apple juice.  For those preferring to have a refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail they have created the
Sun-Kissed Virgin with lychee & pomegranate juice, fresh lime and rose syrup.

The Spa at Brown’s is also offering a wide range of summer treatments.  The Summer Body Blitz includes a full body exfoliation, ½ leg wax, eyelash tint and a mini pedicure, whilst the Top to Toe package includes an Aromatherapy Associates full body exfoliation, Carita mini-booster facial and a mini-manicure and mini-pedicure.  The Spa’s latest seasonal pedicure – Blueberry and Vanilla Smoothie – will ensure that guest’s toes twinkle at all times.
 
For those wishing to stay over the summer season, Brown’s Hotel is offering a ‘Summer in the City’ accommodation package which includes:

• Round trip transfers from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London City Airport or Eurostar
• Full English breakfast daily for two persons in The Albemarle
